can i put a 5 speed standard transmission from a 96 dodge ram 1500 5.2L 318 V8 4x4, in a 98 dodge dakota 5.2L 318 V8 2WD? im told that it would be a matter of using a tailshaft from a 2WD automatic transmission, & i might have to swap the ECUs also, along with the wiring harness. i just want to know if this is possible, & if all of this is necesary.
