Default New stuff!

Okay so I've been extremely busy this past month between school and working on the truck on the weekends. Sadly I still have not gotten the lift on I got frustrated with it after I was unable to get the keys off between prying the bars down and hammering trying to get them to slide through the control arm. I'll hopefully get it done between now and may 5th.
Finals are coming up so that's my main priority

But here are some pics of what I've done to the truck in the past weekends.

Finally got around to sanding and rust repair in my truck bed and put in a bed liner. Sand that bed was probably the worst thing ever but totally worth it. I was dumb and forgot tot take a before picture, but believe me it was bad from 13 plus years of using the truck bed to haul stuff in. Now I don't want to haul anything in it anymore because of how nice it looks!

Was due for new tires so I went with Mastercraft ATX's 265/75-16 (31's)
So far I like them had them on probably three weeks now. The ride is smooth but not sure how they perform off road yet. Waiting for some of the fishing trails around a few of the ponds near by where I live to open up.

Next I got curious with how a flat black hood on my truck would look. So 2 1/2 old cans of plasti dip later...

With the cans being left over form when I did my wheels it didn't spray as good and has the texture of bed liner lol. But I just want to see how the flat black looks on it. I'm still indifferent about it but I'll see if it grows on me at all while I'm home this weekend. Besides the worst is I just have to spend some time peeling it off. Let me know what you guys think!
Here are some more pictures.

I still have more things to do this weekend.
I'm going to peel away the decals on the truck and spray the decals in plasti dip for flat black decals instead of the silver ones.
I took pictures of the decals and took them into photoshop and made stencils so spraying the decals on will be easy. I also have to spray a coating on the new metal I just patched in on the hole in my passenger floor panel (So glad that's taken care of.) Had a mini pool on my passenger floor..

Looks good. I love plastidip. I have used it on several vehicles but I am kinda like you on the wheels. Not so sure about it..maybe too much black?

I PD'd my bumper and grille and like it with the gray hood. I think the hood would be too much. I think the hub centers are what stand out the most. I say leave the lettering as is.

Yeah, I was thinking the hood is a little too much as well. Probably why I feel indifferent about it.
As for the lettering I think I'll just dip over them with the decals to see how it looks and if I don't like them I can just peel away the dip and no harm done to the decals.
