Default Rebuilt Transmission is overheating

Ok heres the deal. I had to install a rebuilt transmission on my 5.9 2001 dakota, because the old transmission kicked the bucket. On the old tranny the "o/d off" light kept coming on. After a little while the tranny finally crapped out. So I ordered a rebuilt tranny and installed it, but when I took it to test drive it the "o/d off" came on again. I checked the fluid level and its fine. I also made sure to blow out the lines before i installed them to the rebuilt tranny.

Please any info on this problem would help greatly.

are you sure it's overheating? You should have 2 lights coming on. One says trans temp, and the OD off light.

Im pretty positive that its overheating the trans temp light came on a little bit after the o/d light came on. Where would the thermostat be if it had one? It runs smooth and strong but it doesnt take very long for the light to come on.
