Default Replaced battery and now it won't Idle- 03 Dakota

A little help please, my starter was dragging so I had the battery checked and it was bad, I installed the new battery and the now it starts great! However, the truck will not stay at idle and when I test drove it, the engine dies once I let off the gas to stop at a stop sign. Any suggestions?

Scott

Sadly, that's totally normal. Run it at a fast idle for a few minutes and it will go back to normal. It's a Dodge thing.

I meant to add that before I changed the battery I did not have this problem.

When the battery is disconnected, the computer "forgets" everything it's learned and returns to very basic settings. The engine has to run for a little bit before it will re-learn.

Thank you Tom A ! It took about 20 minutes (I thought my truck was a slow thinker!), but it seems to be back to her old self. Problem fixed - Thanks again
