Hey guys. Got an 04 1500 here. Not sure where to post this but i have a 99 dakota so i figured id start here lol Check engine blinks. Very rough idle around 650 rpms. Truck wouldn't start for two weeks so I've changed plugs worse cap rotor coil and crank sensor. Tried changing fuel filter but it's rusted on. Swapped relays for the fuel pump and now it starts but it's very rough idle and exhaust smells like pure eggs. There's a random pop through exhaust and the whole truck shakes. Any ideas? Any help thanks. Im used to working on my 99 dakota v6 4x4 so this 1500 with a 4.3 is driving me crazy. Trying to help a buddy out here with his gmc. Thank you!

 

well egg smell is usually a clogged catalitic. is it high miles?

 

100,982. Sounds like a misfiring. I always thought cats too but it's weird how it wouldn't start for two weeks but now it's running but really bad.
