Default Wider Stance?

Currently I have 16x8 +25 offset wheels and 10.50 wide tires, both stock. The outside of the tire is flush with the outside of the wheel well. I am planning to get 17x8 0 offset wheels and 11.50 wide tires. If my thinking is correct, the new wheel will stick out an inch farther than the stock wheel since it is an inch (25mm) less offset. Also the tire will be a half inch wider on each side since it is an inch wider. So the wheel will stick out an inch farther, and the tire a half inch wider, so this will lead to the tire sticking out and inch and a half farther than it is now with stock. Is this right?

I guess if the +25 keeps the tire in the 1" and you remove that, it will stick out that 1" since it was flush before. Then you go with a wider tire by 1", I see 1 1/2" sticking out after the mod.

I actually don't have a clue, just like math problems....

edit: Likewise -- If the +25 was actually making it stick out and you take that away, you pull the tire in by the 1". A wider tire by 1" will yield sucking the tire in by 1/2" after the mod.

Ok I just did it by math. I asked my rednecks friends at school about this (who aren't as good at math as me) and they're only answer was they won't stick out as much as you think
