there a quad cub up the street from for sale but i think it has 4.7 in it i heard the 4.7 doesnt bolt up the same

Well it will work but its a lot harder to swap over. Engine, tranny, transfer case,drive shafts,mounts are different, all engine wiring, ecm and pcm. The 5.2 is like the 3.9 only 2 more cylinders. Cheaper to mod and more aftermarket support. If you were gonna go the 4.7 route might as well take it a step further and do a 5.7 hemi since they are pretty much the same.

 

same here, easy to find in yards. Also, don't rule out the 360. Can be found in many a ram 1500. But the PCM may or may not cross over as easily.
