Hey guys. I'm new to the forums. And I'm looking to do a motor swap in my '97 3.9 5 speed dakota. I found a 318 for sale with a flywheel the wiring harness and hoses but no ecu. Can I just buy any ecu for a 5.2? Iv just read in other places it needs to match the year or vin? I dont know. Iv read people say yes and people say no. I'm confused and on a budget whats the cheapest soloution? Also what are some other common things I will run into. Thanks.
