Problem with truck overheating
I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota with a V-6 3.9 liter. I have been having problems with my truck getting quite warm at times. Nothing extremely high as far as temps yet but it's not that hot out yet. I have replaced my thermostat and water pump but not much better. I was going to flush my radiator yesterday and took the hose of my water pump and wasn't pushing any fluids out the pump. I am thinking I may have a blockage in my radiator. Does anybody have any ideas or have any problems such as this?
If one hose feels significantly cooler than the other, your radiator is doing it's job. If the coolant coming out of the radiator is the same temperature as what's going in, THEN you have a problem.
Do a flush and use prestone radiator flush. My buddy tried it on his ram and it really helped get all the gunk loose. Also the clutch fan could be not working 100% You might have mechanical and electric fans but not sure
