Default Rancho RS5000 shocks

Does anyone have experience with Rancho RS5000 series shocks on a club cab or regular cab Dakota R/T? I have them on the front of mine and they ride smooth but seem to have a lot of rebound on bumps, especially dips on the highway at higher speeds. Does this sound consistant with these shocks or should I look elsewhere? I could do without the rebound if possible, esoecially when I go back to 255/55/17 tires. I just worry if it is doing any damage to front end conponents.

I had a set of RS5000 on my truck just last year and hated them. Stiff as a board and the ride quality was not good at all. Highway speeds were especially bad, even on smooth interstate pavement. I used the Rancho's for maybe a month or six weeks and took them off, replaced them with a set of Gabriel Ultra's. The Ultra's are much better. The difference is night and day. I sold my Rancho's on Ebay and just barely broke even on the sale.

I just don't like the bounciness on the highway at all. Plus I'm already running larger than stock tires at 275/65/17. Want to find a shock that works nice on an R/T.
