Default 98 Kota tranny leak please help

After researching here a few months ago I had my tranny rebuilt by a local shop. It was great! Downshifted by itself up hills which it never did before, front seal leak gone. I'm thrilled. $2,000 and 2 year guarantee. So last week I'm 300 miles from home and see a puddle. I climb under and its just AC water. But the bottom of the transfer case is wet with tranny fluid. It's seeping from between the transmission and the transfer case. The transmission hasn't lost any fluid. I'm about to go crawl under and figure out how to check the transfer case oil level. I have an appointment Friday for the shop to take it in and fix it.

MY QUESTION IS; is there one seal between the two gear boxes? Is it possible there is a separate seal in the transfer case they didn't change when they rebuilt the transmission and I'm going to have to pay for this? Or is this something they should have done?

Seems like a no brainer to me to have replaced any and all seals while in there. I even asked them to replace the rear crank seal while they had the tranny out and they said they would if it was a one piece, so they should have known to do whatever it needed.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Oh ya. it's a 98 Dakota regular cab 4x4 magnum 6 cyl with automatic tranny with OD.

Great Getting better by the minute. I guess the tranny shop figured they probably should have done the transfer case seal He said he would pull the T case and replace F&R seals for a stupid cheap price. Just when life was looking good, I see wetness under the truck. Looks like a freeze plug is leaking between the engine and tranny. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have no luck at all.
