I have an 04 Dakota v6 with a constant p0499. I have replaced the purge solenoid. What "triggers" this solenoid? ( ie ) What input to the pcm causes output voltage to this solenoid? Does anybody have a principle of operation for this system? How is the vapor cannister involved in this system? Thanks in advance for your replies.
