It is an original color but I'm afraid that it will leave a line between the paint.

 

In order to properly blend that you'd need to edge it off and there isn't any good edges for the mark thats not on the tailgate.

If I were you I'd buy the touch up stick and live with it.

If you want to go futher, buy the touch up stick and wetsand and buff after.
