I don't think you need anything big and powerful for the 2.5 just keep it simple and swap in the 2000 stock fan.

The 2.5 is not a hot running engine like a V6 or V8 just changing to a 180 stat drops the temps well I tried a 160 and it ran way to cool and had to pull it.

You cant hotdog the 2.5 to much anyway to get it hot like a V6 or V8

I live in Arizona so I know how it will run in heat getting 115 every summer its biggest problem is it doesn't like running on 115 HOT humid air not that the engine runs HOT.

I wouldn't worry about a big powerful fan for the 2.5 keep it simple that way no wiring changes are needed just plug it in and fab a fan mount for it.

Real thanks guys. just pulled the trigger on a aluminum shroud for thirty bucks. I will throw one of those 14s into it and not really worry about it until spring. there is no way mine is pulling more than 25. but I will check it just to be safe. And I'll post up picks Saturday night for your critique
