My 2004 Dakota has an issue with the gauges. When I stated my truck up the odometer pegged to the right (fast speed). Just stays there whether the key is on or off. Any clues as to what might cause this? The other gauges appear to be working ok.

 

Try resetting the cluster.

Hold down the trip reset button with the key in the ignition.

While still holding it down, turn the key to the ON position WITHOUT starting the truck. It should do a sweep of all gauges.
