Halo Headlights

nope, they are still reflectors.
HID housings usually have a single black "eye" that's a couple inches deep, like the cardboard tube from toilet paper. The bulb goes at the back, then projects forward (they are called projector housings). An eyebrow sits at the end of the tube- it goes up for high beams (full illumination) and down for low beams (cut's off at 3.5 feet or so to prevent blinding oncoming traffic).

Or, on the cheaper side, I have these Depo Black's on my truck. Not a perfect install, but tons better than the faded factory housings.

I've got http://www.carpart4u.com/product/297...our-Cars-.html headlights in my truck with 5k hi/low bulbs. I personally love the look of them and the output of the HID's are amazing. 6 months after install and I'm still amazed at how much more they light up over halogen. If you tab over to product details it says that they are HID compatible. Can't offer any insight on Halo headlights though. Never looked into them much, don't like the look of them personally. But to each their own. Just my two cents, there are headlights out there that are HID compatible. Don't give up. You won't regret the upgrade.
