1997 dodge dakota
im thinking ill be able to get away with its being tucked behind the winch ill find out tomorrow. when the bumper is mounted and aligned. ill also add som interior short to the link and possabler a video if i can get one. i gotta do some fast work tomorrow but its all good.
ok so plan A plan B and plan C didn't work so i moved the winch up giving my more clearance and protection on the front grill. i also gained a little closer profile from nose to tail. i will also have room for the tow hitch that on the nose. and a location to mount a front slid plate. or diamond plate cover which ever i figure. also ill be able now to install my plow frame with no issues. D hooks are ordered for the winch as well as a few more lights i need to finish by adding some 1 inch tube light protectors but im not sure on the design so its gonna be a little before that happens.
below i added videos. on the truck nose to tail with what i did and notice everything was made or designed by me

Matt, looking at your cut lines on your bumper. When you're butting a straight piece, then a 45 degree angle, then another straight piece, like you did on the corners, you're better to cut your end angles at 22.5 degrees than at a flat end butted against a 45 degree end. They will butt up better and you won't have that pesky overhang.
Been going through this with trying to mitre cut trim molding in my house. and the 22.5 degree gives superior results.
I realize you're probably done, but maybe next time.

i actually ended up going back and v grinding the edges for max depth with the weld. so the cut angle was no as important. also i used a piece of steel to make the cut plumb to front of the bumper. i have a few more photos ill add. but right now im having t case issues. going to pull it tomorrow and figure out if it needs a rebuild or a hang gernade. lol but i much appericate the advice.
