Default Bigger is better

Ok I've decided there's no point in spending any more money on trying to make my 3.9 faster when I could spend the same money and get a V8 and still have more power. I want to get 318 but I want a crate because I'm not going to have the time to rebuild one myself let alone know exactly how once I go to boot camp and get school started. Does anyone know of a good site to find a stock 318?
I know where to find the performance ones but I dont want to spend the $2500 on a new engine, probablye another $2000 on Tranny and then $1500-$2000 for rearend. If I just get a normal 318 that used to come in our trucks I can keep my Tranny and Rearend. Any help would be nice.

And why would you upgrade to a 318 when it'll cost just as much for a 360, which has more potential? Even a stock 318 you're probably going to want to beef up the tranny and rear end. The v6, unless I'm mistaken, comes with an 8.25 rear whereas the v8's have 9.25's.

you can buy diff. rear end but the fact is that a v6 that will move that fast outta a DAK is just not done too often. Its different and relatively respectable IMO. And I love the 360s but gas consumption is a big problem too.

A 300+ horse 3.9L isn't going to be all that easy on the gas either.
