Default Floor mats?

I purchased Husky floor mats several years ago. While I like them for keeping water off the carpet they sure do suck when salt is down. What happens is a thin layer of salt forms as the mat is drying. The layer of salt then flakes off and blows off the mat onto the carpet. Anyone know of a better way to keep the interior clean?

Custom made Weathertech floor liners. I don't have them but I have heard good things about them.

Tap your shoes on your rocker before you get in or tap your shoes together outside the door as your sitting in your seat. I have husky liners in my ram and never have a problem with that.

I had husky Liners in my Jeep YJ. They always looked dirty. Even after spraying them down at the car wash. I should mention that they came with the YJ and I have no idea how old they were.

I went with a set of walmart floor mats for the Dakota and like them much better. They have "good" "better" and "best". I got the "best" ones with the deep grooves to keep mud/dirt/water or whatever else from becoming a soupy mess and it works great. The Husky Liners got slippery when I got in with muddy boots. I don't have that problem at all with the walmart ones, and the clean off better at the car wash too.
