We have reflector style headlight housings which means that the light bounces off those to produce our light beams with normal bulbs. When you add HID's to reflector housings, you are essentially creating a higher and brighter light output which 99% of the time will blind other drivers.

HID's are supposed to be used in projecter style headlights. You can google reflector vs. projector headlights and see the difference. IIRC there is a way to properly use HID's in reflector housings but most people do it the wrong way.

MIght be a **** poor way to explain it, but essentially you're pissing off a lot of drivers using improper headlight housings with HID's.
