Just noticed today the cpu in my overhead consoles not working right. It displays directions and the timer works but temp, mpg, miles to empty are just showing dashes. Anyone have any ideas?

 

If I had to guess, maybe a communications issue between the console and PCM. timer just measure how long ignition power is on, the compass i would believe to be built into the console. Everything else would be on the communications bus.

 

Yeah...so it's working now this morning. I've known for sometime now that I need a new computer for the truck. I think it's finally catching up with me. Time to bite the bullet and replace it.
