I want to know if I can take a complete rearend out of 2003 Dakota and put it in a 2000 Dakota they are both 3:92 10 bolt rearends.the 2003 rearend has disc brakes and the 2000 has drum I would like to use the disc brakes .I would like to just unbolt the one and install the other complete if I can.

 

4WD and 2WD have the spring perches on opposite sides of the tubes- check that first. The disc/drum have different proportioning valves up under the hood, you'll want the PV from the donor truck.
