That's good to hear. Makes since. I'm not sure why but figured you had already crossed that and plugs off your check list.. Just curious did you buy SMP or borg parts? I avoid them like the plauge now.. nothing but problems i have had out of them

The coil I got from O'Reilly was their MasterPro branded.
I have no idea who makes them.
I tried first to get some from Accell, but they dont list a coil for the 4.7.

Dunno but accel is made in china.. not sure if i want that on my truck.. I almost did once till i seen it was china.. I was Troubleshooting a shake shake and you know how different coils made differently have difffernt ohm resistance and outputs.. so i was trying different one; their house brand was Lulz and truck seemed to lack power.. i swear like it was not creating a clean spark or something. Put a BWD on it which failed in 30 days being i had some bad and just decided to go poof. I have my old rusty one back no that is still orginal OEM from the factory line.. just goes to show you how damn well some OEM parts are.

Honestly IMO i would try and get a Delphi if they make them for your truck.. they are what BWD USED TO BE.. and also OEM to AC Delco either that or get OEM.. Mopar.

Like my dad always tells me.. there are some things you just dont go cheap on.. this being one of them.

First try this to read the codes. With the engine OFF, turn the key to RUN (don't start it), then back to OFF, back to RUN, back to OFF, then LEAVE IT in RUN.

Any codes will display in the odometer window.

I'm thinking you have a lockup clutch or solenoid problem in transmission. The codes may help narrow it down.
It turned out to be the solenoid problem with the transmission;I took it to a dealer and $70 later they figured it out, they're gonna charge me about $700 to fix it, but unfortunately my brakes also blew out so I'm stuck there
