Question What is this part?

Can anyone identify this part? I was hauling a bed full of mulch earlier this afternoon and I found this at the front of my driveway. I think it's from my truck but I'm not sure....This truck has given me nothing but problems!

Looks like a bump stop to me. Maybe crawl under the front end and see if one is missing, they are mounted on the lower control arms and keep it from bottoming out against the frame when you drive over a bump or rough terrain.

Yes it does look like a bumpstop, but in torsion bar suspension it is actually more than a bumpstop. The lower control arm is almost always in con tact with it and it serves to make the linear spring rate of the torsion bars more progressive. The rubber can fall out if its mount rusts out, which I would guess is what happened here.

Should I not drive it at all until I get it replaced? Or can I drive a couple days?

I am thinking that is the rear bump stop... yes, rusted out from salted roads in the midwest.
you can drive it, no problem and should be easy to replace.

Yeah if its the rear I wouldn't sweat it at all. The front I would want to replace but there's no problem driving it. In my old Dakota frame the frame mount rusted out and the bumpstop got pushed up inside the mount. I never noticed significant handling issues and it was probably like that for years before I bought the truck.
