Default Strange Things Happening

I have been having an issue with my '04 Dakota RFE trans going to fail/safe mode randomly. No pattern to it, just started happening.
Shortly after that started, I started hearing a buzz in the front end like a bearing going bad.
I kept listening, trying to determine which side it was.
No slack in the hubs when I jacked it up to check.
Finally, the bearing started snapping and popping one morning.
Immediately, when I heard the first snap, the trans with to F/S.
I replaced the right bearing hub assembly. No problem.
Since I replaced that hub assembly, the trans has not flopped.
I know this sounds hinky, but is is possible that the bearing was creating some kind of electrical discharge that affected the trans computer?
It just seems too much of a coincidence that the trans straightened out when I fixed the bearing.

Discuss....

I guess so. I really didn't mean to. Just forgot to watch the clock!!
It's still running fine, no problem since the bearing repair.
Regarding the ABS query, I only have rear wheel ABS, but Iguess at this point anything is possible.
