Default Engine Mounts - Hoist points

Sorry I did a search but returend nothing but fan stuff and various engine stuff.. not quite what i was looking for.

Been about 14 years since the last time i hoisted an engine; my 97 Dakota 4x4, what is the best point to hoist with and engine lift?

Exhaust manifolds hold up ok?

When I did my swap I found a hard time looking for spots on the 3.9, I ended up wrapping a strap around the crank shaft (behind the crank pulley) and behind the flex plate. Not sure if this is a good way or not but it worked fine lifting 3 separate engines.

Wouldn't trust the exhaust manifolds.

I would use the ground bolts in back of the cylinder heads and the accessory bracket in the front.

We lift the race motor by 4 exhaust header bolts. NASCAR and many others lift by the intake. Not sure if the beer keg would be strong enough or not.

Just to do engine mounts im thinking exhaust manifolds should be strong enough points.
and ill stick a jack under the engine i'd rather tear up my oil pan than my hand or arm.

jack stands to hold up the front transaxel.
