Personally i would forget about projectors and get the set i linked above with a good HID conversion kit. If your hell bent on projectors i would do as That_Guy did and make your own in the DEPO housings.

Putting hids in any of those halogen housings are going to glare like hell. If you want hids you need some kind of projectors to limit glare.

As far as sticking with halogens go the depo ones like OldSchool linked to along with http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dodge-Dakota-Durango-1Pc-Chrome-Front-Headlights-Pair-/380776672022?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1999%7CModel%3ADurango&hash=item58a80eeb16&vxp=mtr would be your best bet. http://www.ebay.com/itm/97-04-Dodge-Dakota-98-03-Durango-Dual-Twin-Halo-LED-Black-Clear-Headlights-Lamps-/191347380606?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1999%7CModel%3ADurango&hash=item2c8d31517e&vxp=mtr aren't bad either, but I think the halos are stupid.

I don't need hid or projectors...do I gain anything by going one piece?

No, just looks really. Go with the transparent two pieces like old school posted then. The ones I put my hid projectors in had a much better been pattern than the stock fluted lenses did. I think they're eagle eyes brand, but the depos should be fine too.

Just the aggravation of getting them to fit right while in the end you end up settling with with what looks okay in frustration....

Thanks. That is what I will go with. Does it use all the OEM electrical connections (one of which I cut for the spec d disaster)?

Yeah those 2 piece ones should still use 9007 bulbs, 3157 for turn signals, and 194 for the sidemarker.

Thx. I think I need a new socket for the side marker bulb...cut the wires too close for the spec d install...I think the 'd' in spec d stands for 'disaster'

Got them in over the weekend in a matter of minutes...much nicer than the spec d crap.

They look real sharp against my defective paint that is cracking and coming off the hood and roof!

Thx folks for getting me onto these DEPO lights.
