Default Slight front end ticking

when its cold out and my engine first starts up, i get a slight ticking noise but once the car heats up, it stops. i figure this is a slight hole in the manifold and it closes up when the metal heats up an expands? is this bad or can it do any further damage?

Just like most engines, the oil has to be pumped into the upper reaches upon cold start. Until then, you will hear the chatter.
