Driving down the road and the gauge bottoms out to nothing, but lights do not dim, starts again and gaugle goes back to normal. Has anyone ever see this issue before?

 

Let's start with telling us what you are driving. What year, how many miles, what engine, etc. we need info to help you out. Start be having the battery and alternator checked.
