Lowest possible engagement speed on my 2000 Dakota is set 35 mph. This is the factory setting.

There are times when I wish I could engage it at a lower speed like 30mph or even 25 mph. My question is, is there a way to lower the factory default to what I would prefer. Can I do this at home somehow?

Not that I know of. I think it's a law actually.

 

Thanks for replying. I had a 1985 Pontiac that I could engage the cruise at 30 mph. Never thought of it as a law. I will have to research this further.
