need help with transmission

Hey there i need with figuring out wats wrong with my tranny i thought it was the shift solenoid and replaced it but still cant get my truck 2 move even inch forwards or backwards in any gear so wat do i need 2 do or do i have 2 get the solenoid programmed to or wat

Was it moving before you replaced the shift solenoid?

I'm assuming you changed both filters and the fluid. Did you use MOPAR filters? There are a lot of crappy replacements out there that don't seal. In that case you'll pick up air instead of ATF and you won't move - period.

yup everything I replaced was with mopar parts and fluid. no it wasn't moving at all before or after. I can put the truck in any gear and put my foot on the gas and all that is happening is revving of the engine.

You might want to start by checking the hydraulic pressure - with a mechanical gauge.

wats the low/reverse solenoid and wheres that located cuz im looking up code P0750 cuz I just replaced the solenoid on the valve body but that didn't fix my problem

The L/R solenoid activates the L/R clutch

It's located in the solenoid and pressure switch assembly.

after doin some research could it be the line pressure sensor that went bad

00DakDan 03-01-2015 04:04 PM

You won't know until you check the pressure.

dodgedakotaslt 03-01-2015 04:16 PM

ok how and wat do I need 2 check the pressure

00DakDan 03-01-2015 05:56 PM

There are two ports on the RH side of the transmission case. You need a gauge that goes to 300 psi. You can check the line pressure sensor if you have a DRB or another scanner that can connect to the transmission.

The sensor just measures pressure. If you have a pump failure or internal leak you aren't going to move - period. Check the pressure before throwing more parts at it.
