So true hopfuly you have an auto parts place close by so the engine is not hot just warm and no pressure in the system yet. Just be sure the rad hoses are not under pressure yet before you pull the sensor you may need to let it cool down till the pressure drops off. I have popped the rad cap in a hot engine a few times but you need to be very sure you know how to do it and its very dangerous.

Im just a bit crazy at times plus my Dad showed me how

But I recommend you dont try it

If the temp sensor was bad, wouldn't I be having other symptoms like overheating though? I'm not having any cooling/heating issues.

No the temp sensor only monitors your coolant temp if you have only an efan yes but Im guessing you have the 4.7 v8 not the 2.5 4 cylinder.

I dont want to say this but you sound like you have no clue how an auto works especial the engine take it to a shop before you hurt yourself.

As Clint Eastwood/ Dirty Harry always said A man's got to know his limitations.

Just a random thought, are you taking it to the same inspection place each time?
