Two weeks ago I bought a 2004 Dodge Dakota SXT 3.7L 4x4. MIL was on when I bought the truck with codes P0700 and P1776. The solenoid in the transmission was stuck in LR (Low/Reverse) position. I attempted to replace the solenoid, dropped the valve body 1/2" from the transmission then I realized I had the procedure for the 45RFE transmission, but mine is a 42RLE. Came to realize the transmission has to be in low gear to drop the valve body. Went to bolt the valve body to the transmission and now the trans won't shift out of park. Any ideas I need the truck running by Monday to go back to school.
