ive owned my truck over 2 years, and the rack that came with my truck started leaking out the bottom side........... Replaced with a used OEM, and now this one is leaking, leads me to wonder if this a common problem amongst this model dakota

it would seem that it is the outermost seal that is going bad, someone said its impossible to replace if you have 0 experience with rack n pinions, just wondering if its worth fixing, i dont wanna buy a new generic rack and it go out in 2 years if i can replace the seal on the one i have

Were the boots/bellows in good shape? If cracks/holes dirt and water can get in and destroy the Rack.

its leaking out of the same spot of the bottom where it has like 4 square notches, where it looks like it would be taken apart at, i hadnt really took notice of bad boots/bellows, i figure its Me, i drive it like a rally truck
