Default Bumpers

Hi all... I'm helping a buddy out with a '98 Dakota he's buying today (4 cylinder, five speed gas sipper with 104,000 miles). It's got the black steel bumper inserts and they're in bad shape on both ends.

Should I just look for any 2nd generation Dakota bumpers? Are there any that won't fit? I don't think he's going to get his knickers in a twist if they're a little different than the originals.

I think they'll all fit. Also the front bumpers from the Durangos too, if you're going junkyard surfing. Ain't no sippin. They burn as much gas as the V8's

Thanks, Dodgevity... I'll dig around at the local "men's mall" and see what I can find for him. I got a price for around $140 for a pair from the junkyard I go to most often (not sure if they have anything I can use though).

I'll also be looking for a driver's seat - even though the upholstery is like new, the springs let you fall through the seat to the floor... the guy who drove this truck must have been a BIG one!

I may be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that you can swap the seat cushions from passenger to driver's seat. It is always hard to find a good driver's seat so look for good passenger seat.

I'll have to take a look at the seat in this truck - the passenger seat has the jump seat attached, but I haven't looked close enough to see if it's got separate cushions for the passenger and jump seat, or if they're combined.
