Won't stay in gear
hey everyone,
I have an automatic 1998 dodge dakota that's been acting funny lately. I can go in reverse and drive a little bit before it gets out of gear, lots of revving and slowing down, and it will barely go. We scanned for codes, checked the fluid, looked at the fuses, and nothing seems out of the ordinary. The shifter was always slightly sticky and inaccurate, but never had this problem until a few days ago. The thing is, when it decides to be in the proper gear, it drives fine but it almost never gets in gear, and when it does, it won't really stay that way. Any suggestions or answers are appreciated, thanks.
