I have a 04 quad 4.7 and i am looking for the best performing cold air intake for the money. i have read all info offered on air aid and K&N but just saw the charts on the ram air cold air intake system. down fall is the seller is over seas and will not return untill early 06. is it worth the wait or is K&N OR AIRAID just as good. please help

I bought a cold air intake for my 4.7L 2004 Dakota on the internet for around $86. Uses K&N air filter, just make sure the tubes are metal. Works great and good sound. You can pick up some cheaper ones on ebay as well just gotta be more careful. Sure beat the $250 price tag that K&N charges.

I bought the K&N but the intake tube melted on me. Then a friend told me about the one that MOPAR makes. I think they may make one for the 4.7 but the down side is that they run about $500. I spoent a little more than $500 on the one I put on my R/T. But its the best ABS plastic one you can find.

you could go the cheap way by getting one through ebay but i went ahead and bought mine through summit racing for about $300, yeah it was expensive but shipping and handing is free with them and it sounds agressive as hell when you get on it.
