Default Tire Chains

So I recently bought a 2003 Dakota Quad Cab 4X2 (this past summer). We are in Eastern Oregon and headed to Washington State for the holidays. If your familiar with Eastern Oregon, you have to go over "The Blues" (big *** mountain pass), which has its own weather pattern. I just replace the tires with an all season 245/75/16 tires. I have a set of "cable chains". IF needed, do the chains go on the front... or back? BTW, Im NOT one of "those" drivers. If it takes me an extra 2 hours to get where Im, then Im way ahead of that Jackass that passed me in his 4x4 and is now in a ditch. Slow and easy always wins the race. Thanks

Chains go on the driven wheels. In your case, the rear wheels.
