hey got it to crank but it only ran for a quick second then cut off.. after we replaced the coil pick up we found the engine relay was blown I have a code p1686 thanks for the help.. that's no skim bus issue what to do now thanks.. its a 2001 Dakota rt it does not have key less entry,, everything I see about that code is about the key ive been using the same one since ived had it

 

1686 No messages received from the Smart Key Immobilizer Module. What I found that code to mean.
