I'm trying to take the resonator off of my throttle body,removed the center nut, but, it wont budge. Is it just a slip fit, or, is there another mechanical fastener. Don't want to break anything. Also the air filter box, the plastic nuts holding it down. Do they just unscrew like a regular nut? Thanks Sid

 

The air hat should lift straight up off the TB. There is a rubber gasket between the bottom of the air hat and the top outside edge of the TB, maybe yours got hot and melted to the TB but you should be able to twist the air hat a little and pull it straight up. On the filter box, just remove the one 10mm nut near the PCM. The plastic nut-fasteners do not unscrew. Just lift the air box assembly straight up with one hand on each fastener and the air box should come right out.
