Default new owner with questions

alright guy just bought a 04 quadcab with the 4.7 automatic love the truck had low miles when I bought it. Had a couple questions: is there anything that can be done to these trucks to improve mpg I realize that if I wanted great milage I should have bought a Honda however any sugesstions would help. Truck is stock with no upgrades and has 40000 miles 14city 19hwy

another small thing the drivers seat has a little play in it (slides forward about 2" when braking) Im guessing the problem is something maybe loose on the seat track any ideas?????????

Thank you for any answers ahead of time

Free up the intake and exhaust may gain you a couple MPG's. But that all depends on your driving style and would take years to see any payback from the investment. Keep the tires properly inflated and keep the engine tuned up and a light right foot. Welcome to the forum.

Wish mine had 40K... Any pics? New plugs will help a bit with the MPG, but yeah... my DD is a Honda. LOL

Seat fix... try to use a metal washer if possible.
