Default high idle

My 4.7L, 2001 Dakota is driving me crazy. Ran fine until PCM died. Got new one and since then it idles around 1200-1500 rpm. Replaced Idle air control valve, coolant temp sensor (it ran a little hot), new clutch fan, throttle position sensor and still it will fluctuate between 1000 and 1500 just sitting. Any suggestions? I hate to take it to a dealer as I don't have that kind of money. When foot off of gas peddle it will still stay over 1200 and you have to use brake to slow down

By new you mean junkyard, dealer new or rebuilt new where did you get it who installed it?

Many people report having problems with rebuilt PCM's.

you may have to get it reflashed, or buy a tuner to adjust it.

It was a rebuilt from All Computers Resource and we put it in ourselves. My husband is a mechanic (diesel) but this has him stumped.
