I hit a deer not to long ago. I ended up needing a bunch of new parts because no salvage yard around here has any Dakota parts. And I've looked everywhere and was allowed to wonder around myself looking in a few of the places. But all I need now are body parts. I need a hood, pass front fender, bumpers. And then I felt stupid because a lot of the places I called I only asked for Dakotas when I'm pretty sure that durangos have the same front ends.. Can this be done with the same gens for both? Like looking at them they look the same but I don't want to buy a bunch of parts only to find out they don't fit properly.

 

What year Durango you talking about?

 

generally if they are looking up as interchange, it should cross-populate. But if not, 97-99 dakota and 98/99 durango interchange, and 01-3 dakota and 01-03 durango should interchange. The two half-generations will interchange on most of the body parts except the core support and some other small things.
