1999 Dakota Club 4x4 5.2L Automatic, Resurrection
Finally making progress on my dad's estate and got his 99 Dakota back to my house. He passed in 07, it sat up since, no one took care of it and I was stationed overseas. Now that I'm retired and caught up on life, I got it back to my place.
He took really good care of it when he was alive which is why it doesn't look that bad. It's just been sitting up. I went thru it and found the usual things you'd expect to see and I'll post as I go thru it.
I attached some before and after pics. A little engine clean, dawn, wax and elbow grease and I'm on my way to getting her back in shape. The clear coat is peeling bad on the hood, roof and front fenders. I put some wax down after I cleaned it to extend the life until I can get it repainted. At least she doesn't look like an abandoned vehicle anymore.
