Hi all! I have a 2003 Dakota Quad Cab 4X4 Sport (4.7) that I bought about a year and a half ago. She only has 70k miles on her and is pristine. I love her. Sadly, some guy rear-ended me this week and bent my perfect rear bumper. Thankfully, no other damage.

So I was wondering if anyone on the forum knew of a good source for a quality replacement rear bumper. I am open to OEM Sport (no chrome) replacement or off-road style.

Does anyone have any suggestions other than Dodge dealership or pick-and-pull salvage yard? It's all less than his insurance deductible, so I'm open to all ideas.

 

Had the same think happen with my 2000 sport, since my bumper was already in so-so shape, I had the other guy purchase an aftermarket universal bumper. The shop said I should have made him replace it with an OEM bumper because they had a tough time with the universal mounting brackets. I also noticed the old OEM wrapped around the rear bed under the tail light and the universal did not. If you want the nice clean lines go with an OEM used. Since you were rear ended have the other party pay the extra for the exact fit bumper. I should have made the other guy do this.
