hi, I got my dakota back from my parents. so this is not a daily driver. I want to upgrade the engine.

plans:
edelbrock heads / gaskets / pushrods
1.6 rocker arms needed for heads
upgraded cam roller type.

questions is:
programming the pcm.. what options do i have for these pcms. can a tuner do it? or do i need to take to a shop?

5.9 comes stock with 1.6 rockers.1.7 lift will make the cam think it's bigger.Performance PCM-P 5249546,Jeg's or Summit .com or ARRINGTON PERFORMANCE.com.M-1 intake, ifyou can find one?Step up injectors to 40lb.Ported heads and perhaps Fastman 53mm throttle body.Most mentioned are easy install.Just athought...........

you are listing a mopar performance pcm, it doesn't look like anything i have on my truck
i know its a rare pcm on my vehicle from the factory.... the part number for my pcm is 56040481ab

im going to look into the sct software for flashing / tuning my pcm.. i do CNG conversions so i know my way around pcm's.
