Removed the side glass to replace it and can't figure out how to pop the backing back in place!

I pushed hard, tried notching it in... I feel dumb.

What am I missing?

 

New are fair priced about $20 to $40 rockauto you need too pull the door panel but its not hard to do.

Should have just glued the new glass over the old Im not sure you can just replace the glass.

 

Cool story bro. Did you read my post? I -did- replace the glass. Just need to pop it back on. Of course you can replace it! haha

Gluing the new over the old is the half-assed way. I don't do stuff like that to my cars. Fix it right or leave it alone!

You would never notice and the half-assed way is your way if you wanted a good job done a complete new unit would be the way to go can you say duh.

Your old mirror is as trashed as can be thats oh so top notch the rusted door looks as good as gold I guess thats top notch also.
