Thanks guys, I am hoping it's the cable. My glove box has been acting funny meaning it's not opening and closing smoothly. I will have to take a look at this more closely

Hmmm this stuff looks familiar. I actually seem it before when my cluster wasn't working I noticed a cable loose that went to the back of the heater controller. On page two it says it may control blend door. I will poke around tomorrow. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks 98 Dakz. I will take a look at this soon. Sucks to have to do this during the winter season. Like I said, when I took the plastic trim piece off and cluster out, I noticed a cable wasn't attached. I found out it was to the back of the fan speed controller so I did hook it back up.
Also, I am pretty sure the cabin gets somewhat warm when I let truck warm up in driveway for a while but when I drive, it doesn't keep warm. I don't know if it's just the engine heat coming into cabin. I will look around soon and see if stuff looks weird. Things not connected. Etc.

The heater core even if flushed can still be half plugged up flush a few more times both ways.

As I said they are easily plugged up in cold weather in California I never had a problem same in Arizona.

A common Dakota cold weather problem

I think that's what I am gonna do. Try flushing it both ways. I really don't think anything is wrong with the HVAC system. The vacuum lines look good, I can see the cable on temp control, it looks good. The other wires above look good. When I turn the ****, I can hear things working. I took glove box off but didn't see much. Everything in tack except for a small clip wasn't plugged into anything. I think it could be for a light in glove box or something. Gonna try flushing more. Thanks everyone.
