Default Annoying throttle lag in my 2001 4.7 QC

OK,
I have a 2001 QC 4.7 4X4 5 speed manual and the truck has always done this from day 1. What happens is when I spike the throttle from idle nothing happens for a second like a time delay or something and also when the engine is revved up and held there(like when up-shifting) and I back right off the throttle, it like holds the rpm for a second before coming down....very annoying. I'm just curious if anyone else has this and if so do you know how to get rid of it? I feel it may be computer programming from the factor

Input will be much appreciated,
Brian

I believe this might have have something to do with the TPS sensor. Let me look and find the info on how you can adust this. That might be your problem.
