I just got a 97 Dakota w 170,000...the trans was rebuilt @ 153,000....my question is this...
....I'm getting used to the auto switching form a 5 speed Chevy S-10...my Dakota seems to be changing gears ok...but when I put it from park into R or D or back form either or....I definitely hear and feel movement as it shifts into place....the feeling and sounds are NOT 'clunky' or 'loose' but I just want to make sure that they are normal. Like I said, I'm used to a manual. Thanks for any feedback. Just looking for peace of mind on this new purchase. Thank Dodge Family.
